Disruption has been reported today as a transport strike got underway in Greece’s capital city, Athens.
Transport workers in Athens are taking part in the second of three 24-hour strikes to object to legislation that will allow the transport organization to make commercial use of stations.
Metro, electric railway (ISAP) and tram workers are taking part in the walkout and the strike industrial action has resulted in a buildup of traffic in the Greek capital.
The third and final strike is planned for this Friday (3rd March) when workers will again walk out.
