The Unite union has issued a statement regarding the proposed Swissport ground handlers strike action.
The union, which has Swissport members at numerous airports around the UK including Heathrow and Manchester, had scheduled the strike for the 23rd and 24th December in a dispute over low pay.
The 48-hour strike would have seen over 1500 front-line airport staff walk out in 18 airports around Britain.
However, following discussions between representatives of Swissport and officials of Unite, a resolution has been reached and the strike action has been called off.
