Fast-growing airline Norwegian has confirmed its first South American route: services operated by UK subsidiary Norwegian UK will fly from London Gatwick to Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport from February 2018.
The year-round, four-times-weekly service will be operated by new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with economy and premium cabins.
Fares start form £299 one-way in economy and from £699 in a premium cabin that features a metre of legroom, complimentary meal service, lounge access and baggage allowance.
CEO of Norwegian Bjorn Kjos said:
“From Europe, the USA, Asia and now South America, our long-haul network is going global and the UK will continue to be at the heart of our ambitious plans for expansion.”
Transport Minister Lord Callanan said of the new service:
“This will unlock new trade and tourism opportunities in the UK and Argentina, which will boost our economies, provide more choice for consumers and open up new business links.”
