Madrid Metro workers threaten further strikes this Easter

A series of rail strikes are expected to affect passengers during Easter holidays. Madrid Metro workers plan to strike again on 17^th and 24^th April, the plans for further industrial action follow a strike which was held on Monday 10^th.

The strikes will run from the beginning of service until 8:30am (local time), 64 per cent of services are expected to be guaranteed during the affected days.

In a separate dispute, members of AVE and Renfe train crews began a 10-day strike on Tuesday 11^th April. Only services on board are to be hit by this strike with rail traffic expected to operate as usual.
