North-East jet-setters will be able to fly direct to New York again this winter as Jet2 have announced the return of their flight and city break service from Newcastle International Airport.
With sold out flights and load factors exceeding expectation, Jet2 received great demand for its trips to New York from Newcastle International Airport in 2016. It is no surprise, then, that the company has chosen to extend this service into 2017.
In conjunction with Jet2CityBreaks, the airline will run six services between October and December. The direct journeys are all for 4 nights and are timed to cover Thanksgiving, the winter half term and Christmas shopping period.
Passengers can book flights only with Jet2.com or take advantage of the packages offered by Jet2CityBreaks.
Following the cancellation of United Airlines’ route from Newcastle to New York last year, John Irving, Newcastle International’s business development director, revealed that plans to secure a permanent service to New York are on the airport’s agenda.
