A union representing pilots at Air France’s budget airline, Hop! has reportedly threatened a strike on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd March in protest to the negotiation of a new trade agreement.
Were it to go ahead, this would coincide with nationwide industrial action planned by railway workers on 22nd March and a strike planned by several unions at Air France on 23rd March.
In addition, a union representing French air traffic controllers has announced plans to join a nationwide public-sector strike on Thursday 22nd March. Air traffic controllers and workers at the national train operator, SNCF, are expected to strike all day.
Passengers planning to fly on these days are advised to check their flight status with the airline before travelling.
UPDATE 16/03/18: Unions have now voted for a further strike at Air France on Friday 30th March.
