Finnish carrier Finnair has cancelled several flights on the Riga-Helsinki route today due to industrial action planned at Helsinki Airport.
The ground staff strike at Helsinki Airport, which was reported by Finnish airport operator Finavia, will take place from 3 pm to 7 pm and is expected to affect many flights.
As a result of the impending strike at Helsinki Airport, Finnair has cancelled more than 90 flights, with other flights likely to be delayed.
The strike has been called because the airport ground services provider demands better labour contract terms for its employees.
A similar strike already took place on 10 March, and further actions are being planned for 22, 23, and 24 March.
