On the weekend commencing 11th May 2017, Delta Airlines will begin a substantial move at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The move will take Delta from their current location at terminals 5 and 6 to a new location in terminals 2 and 3. This means that Delta will be located at the same terminal as Virgin and all other partners.
A huge investmen plan is scheduled to take place over the next 5 years, transforming the Delta hub at LAX. Eventually the Delta Terminal 2/3 will have a direct link to the TBIT (Tom Bradley International Terminal) meaning a seamless transfer to the main International terminal.
The initial move will take place over five days from 12 – 16 May. Delta has released some advice to passengers due to travel over this period:
Verify your terminal using the Fly Delta app with Flight Status screen for gate updates.
Allow extra time by ensuring you arrive early at the airport.
Ask for help, extra members of staff (wearing green vests) will be on hand to point you in the right direction.
