Thirty-six members of CityJet’s cabin crew – all Unite members – said on Friday that they would walk out on Thursday 20 October from 5 a.m. to midnight and Monday 24 October from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, 25 October, which would affect London City Airport.
Staff claimed the industrial action was a response to a dispute over pay cuts of up to 50 percent.
CityJet have confirmed that some members of their cabin crew based at London City Airport had threatened strike action but that they had taken measures to ensure that such action, if it occurs, does not impact on services and that flights would continue to operate as normal.
