The action is caused by a dispute over pay; the union Unite claims that BA employees are being forced to “eke out a living on poverty pay”.
Cabin crew were due to walk out on Christmas Day and Boxing Day but the action was suspended after talks at the conciliation service Acas.
Now, having rejected a new pay offer for the so-called “mixed fleet” cabin crew who have joined the airline in recent years, members of Unite will walk out on January 10.
British Airways has promised to protect passengers, reassuring their customers that striking crew represent just 15 per cent of cabin staff.
