Hainan Airlines increases service from Manchester

Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines has announced plans to increase the number of its direct flights between Manchester Airport and Beijing. The frequency of the service will increase from four flights per week to five flights per week as of 1^st June 2017.

UK General Manager of Hainan Airlines, Loic Gao UK has said that the increase in frequency comes in response to increased demand for the route from Manchester airport and that it demonstrates the company’s commitment to the UK market.

The route had its inaugural flight on 10^th June 2016 and has been a popular addition for Hainan Airlines. Gao added: “As we approach our 1st year anniversary, an increased frequency is a wonderful way of celebrating such success”

Stephen Turner, commercial director at Manchester Airport, also expressed his pleasure at the decision of Hainan Airlines to supplement their Manchester service, stating that the route has proved popular with both leisure and business travellers.

Turner said: “I am sure the extra service will be welcomed by the 22m passengers in our catchment area that spans north to Scotland and south to the Midlands.” The service increase will potentially see Hainan Airlines’ new Dreamliners operating this direct route into Beijing.
