Gatwick Airport have released a statement advising passengers that they are expecting disruption to rail services to and from the airport because of the Southern rail strike.
We are expecting significant disruption to rail services to and from Gatwick on 13, 14 and 16 December due to a train drivers strike. There will be no Southern trains and reduced Gatwick Express services.
Please plan your journey in advance and allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport. You may want to consider alternatives methods of transport.
Which services will be affected?
There will be no Southern services.
There will be no Gatwick Express services from Gatwick to Brighton.
Thameslink services are not expected to be affected by the strike, but will be extremely busy.
Great Western services to Reading will not be affected.Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express will be accepting each other’s tickets during the strike.
