Southern Rail is warning passengers to expect severe disruption to Southern and Gatwick Express services from Tuesday, 6 December. The disruption is expected to last throughout December and into January due to industrial action by RMT and ASLEF workers.
Transport for London has also warned that the strikes will affect services on the London Underground’s Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City and Circle Lines with no Piccadilly line service at all running from 1900 on Tuesday, 6 until the end of the day on Wed 7 December.
The strikes will affect services on the following dates:
Tues 6 to Thurs 8 Dec
Tues 13 to Wed 14 Dec
Fri 16 Dec
Mon 19 and Tues 20 Dec
Sat 31 Dec to Mon 2 Jan
Mon 9 to Sat 14 Jan
Disruption will be particularly bad on these dates but disruption could occur every day over the strike period.
