Virgin East Coast have had to cancel several services today after a derailment in Edinburgh left four trains trapped in a depot.
Included in the cancelled services are trains between Edinburgh and London King’s Cross and some between London King’s Cross and Leeds.
Passengers are advised to visit the Virgin Trains East Coast website for a full list of the cancelled services.
According to a Virgin Trains spokesman who apologised for the disruption, affected passengers will be able to travel on alternative services and will be eligible for compensation.
