Rail workers to strike en masse in New Year

Members on Northern, Merseyrail, Greater Anglia, South Western Railways and Island Line have been instructed to walkout between 00:01 am and 23:59 pm on the 8^th, 10^th and 12^th January 2018

Members on Southern will also strike from 00:01 am and 23:59 pm on the 8^th January 2018.

The strikes come on top of two one-day walkouts planned for Greater Anglia on the 27^th December and South Western Railway on New Year’s Eve.

South Western Railways is already putting in place contingency plans for the strike on 31^st December, while Greater Anglia said it was aiming to resolve the dispute with talks and hoped to run a revised Christmas service on the 27^th December.
