Air France and KLM have introduced three new ticket options for travel in Economy Class to North America and Canada. The new Light, Standard and Standard + ticket options can be booked for travel on flights from 10 April 2018.
The new ticket options allow customers to tailor their travel more specifically to individual needs as each option has its own set of services and conditions and, of course, its own fare.
Below is a short overview of each of the three options:
Light

+ Hand baggage
+ Drinks, snacks, meals and inflight entertainment
+ the possibility to change your ticket at fee
No hold baggage and of course as a Flying Blue Elite-or Elite Plus-member you are entitled to check-in your first bag (23kg) for free.
Standard
Flight ticket
+ Hand baggage
+ Drinks, snacks, meals and inflight entertainment
+ the possibility to change your ticket at fee
+ one piece of hold baggage of 23kg
You have the ability to use your Flying Blue privileges for free transportation of a second piece of hold baggage.
Standard +

+ the possibility to change or cancel your ticket (depending on your booking class at fee or free of charge)

It is possible to further personalize your ticket by purchasing additional paid options such as Economy Comfort for extra leg space or an à la carte meal. These extras can be selected at time of booking or added at a later time.
Delta Air Lines and Alitalia, the joint venture partners of KLM and Air France, will also be introducing a similar fare structure across the Atlantic.
