Security workers at Barcelona’s El Prat airport have rejected a government-proposed pay raise and will continue their industrial action.
Staff from Eulen, the private firm which operates scanners, controls queues, and searches passengers, are planning additional mini-strikes today (Friday 11th August) and on Sunday 13th August, along with an indefinite work stoppage scheduled to begin on 14 August.
The decision follows the rejection of a proposed pay raise on Thursday 10th August, it was hoped that the offer would put an end to a series of one-hour strikes that caused disruption last week.
