A 24-hour transport strike in taking place in Italy today (Friday 16th June) affecting trains, buses, underground lines and air travel which will cause delays and disruption for many journeys.
Some sectors began the strike yesterday evening and the disruption to services is expected to continue until the end of today.
Local transport services in Rome, Milan and Florence will all be affected, with multiple strikes taking place throughout the day.
Those undertaking longer journeys could be at risk of disruption too, with the strike affecting national train, aeroplane, and even boat services
Airport workers will undertake a 24-hour strike, while cabin crew are striking for between four and 14 hours.
